Kitchen and benchtop finish??
Hi All. I am just about to build a kitchen for my niece, the doors and benchtops etc. will be recycled oregon (douglas fir). I want a finish that will be tough and long lasting, but also not too labour intensive. My immediate thought is to use 30% gloss acid cure lacquer, I've used it a fair bit and am very pleased with it. I am however a little concerned about recoating should it be necessary, spraying inside is not that appealing even with HVLP. Although the doors and drawer fronts are easily removed, but not the benchtops and other panels. I also like poly, but the time between coats is just too much hassle for something like this. Got any better suggestions, or maybe the AC lacquer is the go?? TIA Rod
