turbosawmill weekend warrior
G'day Forum members,
Just announcing that I am now the Victorian representative for Jake Petersons Weekend Warrior .
It can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mf-tksW_Mac
this is the website http://turbosawmill.com/weekendwarrior/
Still early days and we are hoping to do the big shows and some of the larger ag and field days plus for those interested I will be arranging demonstrations, willing to travel to South Australia, Tassie and Southern NSW.
I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination regarding timber milling but I saw this at the Melbourne timber show and it looked a good concept .So I went over to New Zealand to meet the team and see how its built. This is from the website and its a short precis;
Spectrum Innovations (trading as Turbo Sawmill) was established in 2007 by Jake Peterson, son of sawmill pioneer Carl Peterson.
Carl developed his first prototype swing blade sawmill in the remote islands of Fiji, and after immigrating to New Zealand in the 1980's, set about creating the world's first commercial swing-blade sawmill.
Carl's swing-blade sawmill was launched to great acclaim, and with the NZ government backing his innovation, over one thousand mills were manufactured and sent worldwide.
In 2007 - with Carl's help and support - Jake Peterson launched Spectrum Innovations. Father and son worked together to design and build The Gladiator swing-blade sawmill, utilising Carl's inverted 'T' concept to offer a very clean, open access portable sawmill.
In 2013, the company launched the Weekend Warrior, our chainsaw-driven sawmill - the most portable swing-blade sawmill available today.
So now I am repping for them here in OZ I will post some pics in the small timber milling section
Any hoo thats all, hope you find it of interest.

Congratulations. One thing though, and perhaps it's me, however I couldn't hear a single word over the music on the Weekend Warrior video.
