hello from sa
hey,
im just getting into building drums and found this place which should be helpful for info on tools, finishes etc from australia as im new to all of this and there are some many different things
I plan on making a good work bench soon as all i have to work with is a plastic outdoor table, but needs to be able to be folded away.
Yeah so im from sa, studying architecture, like playing drums (reason why i feel like trying to build them) and thats probably it.
thanks

G'day andyvan and welcome to the enclosure.
Does the title andyvan hint at a Dutch background?

Well seems like you need a wooded foldable WORK BENCH. I just wonder what is would be like. I also had to settle for something not so grand as a work bench.
It does fold away and is made of metal and wood.
Welcome to the forum.

yeah theres a bit of dutch. my dad was shipped over here when he was one. And my parents never really forced leaning the language or anything on me, altho i kinda wish i did learn it so i could move there. haha
Yeah maybe its better to call it a bench taht i will work on. as i dont plan on anything grand. just a table top with fold away legs. simple and eays.

I should also mention that the original foldaway table that I am using has a nice dip in the center. I placed a 50 mill MDF board on top of that and soon that will develop a nice dip in the center.
