Accommodation suggestions in or near Olympic Park
SWMBO is off to an embroidery course in late June.
It is Concord Sydney.
I've been googleing accomm, but wondered if anyone here has suggestions, or have good experiences with accomm in the area?
We are looking for three nights and must have/include car parking.
Anything good we'll also use for the woodworking shows too.
B&B, motel, caravan park cabin sort of thing.
Anyone with good/bad for suggestions?
Thanks
Lyle.

Lyle I can't recall any in or around Concord, Rhodes itself but check for such as Ryde, West Ryde, Parramatta Rd, Homebush at the ANZ sports stadium.
Lyle also suggest check with whom she is doing the course they may have a list of possibilities.
Edited to add this bigger listing

If you want a caravan park or cabins, the closest is probably at Lane Cove: Lane Cove River Caravan Park.

Highly recommended Although we didn't stay in the cabins, they are very modern, the park facilities excellent, the (National Park) staff very courteous and helpful. Within walking distance of North Ryde train station, the train takes you straight in to the city.
We will be back there with our camper trailer in August.

Depends what you want and what you want to pay.
Back in 11 my ex and I stayed at the Formule 1 (now Ibis Budget) in Enfield which if memory serves correct isn't too far from Olympic Park.
Parking is outside but we never had any problems, its clean and well run, but basic (don't expect a king size bed and a 40 inch tv) but well equipped if you're out all day and just somewhere to sleep shower and ship.

i am not so hot on sydney geography but i notice some have suggested ryde .. i often stay at either travelodge or mgsm at ryde .. both quite good ... easy walk down to the shops ... take a lamp for mgsm if your wife wants to do embroidery or if you want to read a book (lights quite dim)
not sure how close but also stayed at rydges bankstown (not flash but not bad) ... unilodge glebe (cheap and nice restaurants up glebe point rd) and stamford grand at ryde (a bit flash and can be exe unless, as we have, got some good deals at times ... good attached buffet style restaurant) ... rydges near rosehill racecourse (two nice restaurants ... one a semi-cafe/buffet) and the one across the road from them (a bit cheaper but still very nice)
regards david

Excellent.
I have had a couple of people from work also recommend the Lane Cove caravan park.
We'll try them out.
Thanks very much for the replies.
If Lane Cove doesn't come off I'll use your replies to find another.
I also used your suggestions to look at the locations of close suburbs.
Next will be 'wotiff'
Again
Thanks very much.
