Final update
It's great that Ray is back home and on the mend. A message received from him this morning suggests that it is going to take a while to get him back to his old self but time is on our side.
I know Ray can't thank you enough for all your good wishes and he is very touched by your concern.
I will now hand over the reins to Ray to keep you informed of his condition. Hopefully we will see Ray back in the harness here before too much longer.
Here is part of the last email I received from Ray.
Many thanks to you all for your thoughts, prays, well wishes, cards, phone calls and visits.
I will be recuperating for a while yet as well as Dr visits I will fill you in those who don't already know what happened to extend my stay and prolong my recuperation.
Please continue to hold off on joke etc emails as we are using the laptop, the monitor went while I was in hospital on the main PC.
Many Thanks
Ray
Ray said he will make a new thread on his story that he has to tell so I will make this my last report here.
Finally, I would personally like to thank everyone for their concern and all the good wishes you have sent him. I have made him aware of this thread from the word go and he was aware of all your encouraging messages. I am sure it helped his boring stay in hospital.
Get well soon mate.Reality is no background music.
Cheers John

I and Sue sat down last night and read each and every message it brought tears to both of us knowing people cared. We got laughs also and many a smile laughter is always the best medicine.

Thanks John for your great efforts in keeping us informed.
Ray, great to see you are home again and we all look
forward to you improving with each day.
As for the tablets you will now have to take daily
just put plenty of pepper and salt on them.

. Glad to know you are on the mend, Ray. Know how you must be feeling as I've just surfaced from a small patch up on the pump. which is why I missed the announcement.
