Thanks for that Bryan, excellent job! I think this means you have elected yourself the list keeper?!
Not as many douglas's as I first thought, but certainly the under 12" stroke are in the majority.

Actually I was kind of hoping someone else would carry on the good work.
Well maybe I could just bring it up to date and then pass the baton. Ok, if you're not on that list and wish to be, send me an email only (click on my name). Don't send PMs and don't clutter the thread please. Likewise if you are on it and don't want to be, let me know.

Thanks Phil. I keep getting messages from people wanting the stick. I am not the keeper of the stick! Steamwhisperer is the keeper of the stick! I compiled a list of shaper owners that is mentioned in this thread and that seems to be confusing people. The list of shaper owners lives here: https://www.woodworkforums.com/f65/sh...ml#post1587558. I will update that list occasionally from the posts in that thread. That means please don't bug me with requests to be on it.

The Brotherhood of the Travelling Stick
No worries Leroy,
In spite of my dementia, I put you on the list, I just didn't tell you. Sorry about that.

If the stick is touring once more and if it contains additional information, I wouldn't mind another look if Boomtown's not too far away.
I will admit to feelings of lust when I viewed the Varnamo in Ray's shed a couple of weeks ago. Made the Douglas look a bit toy like in comparison but better a toy than toyless.

Hi Bob,
no worries, I have booked passage on the next space shuttle, 'tis the only way I know of to get the stick out to Boomtown
There is an extra stick with this mailout that has been kindly donated by Garry (Garry Edwards) and it is full of some of the best info on general machining I have seen.
Hi John,
You are on the list
I was wondering if it would be easier if I got everyones address and included a list in the mailout. That way as it went to everyone, they could cross out their name and forward it onto the next one. Not sure if everyone would be happy with that though.
Phil
Any thoughts??

Phil,
How about making up the list with your name as the last one, then circulate the stick + list, with instructions as follows:
"When you have finished with the stick, please cross off your name, PM the next person on the list for their address, then send it to them"
Have I just reinvented the current procedure?
Cheers,
Bill

Phil, can I suggest that people also PM you when they send it on - at least you will have some idea of who has it/ where it is.
