    Morning Matt,

So sorry for such short notice, but Liz won't be able to make it. She has woken with a migraine and as you can imagine is not up for heading out totoday.
    I'll be there around 11:30.
    See you then.

    Bill.

Thanks to Matt and Sally for hosting the event! Special thanks to Matt for showing me how to apply a CA finish to a pen, I had a lot of fun.

I’ll just give you a little summary of how it went for me.

Left home at 9am, got stuck in roadworks for 25 minutes.
Finally got to Ballarat at 11:30 and then got lost on the other side of town.
Arrived at 12 then sat down and talked for a while.
Ate lunch at around 1pm, very good bbqing Matt...
    Sold a pen.
Left at 4pm since Dad needed to do some stuff at home.

Sorry Crowie, I would’ve posted some photos but I unfortunately didn’t bring a camera...

And a very nice pen it was too (no it was not me who bought it).

Benny had a portfolio of 8 pens he has made to show everyone at the GTG. They were all very nice. He is really developing some skills.

    Cheers

Dave will have to order some of that weather for next year.
Any chance of some names to go with faces for us who weren't there. Recognise some, but there are a number of unfamiliar ones.
Which part of Ballarat is your block Matt?

I’ll just list the names from Matt’s photos, sorry if I get any of the names wrong.
Photo 1: Kuffy with Dave’s wife to the right.
Photo 2: Matt on the left and BallaratBill on the right.
Photo 3: I think Chris on the left and Doug3030 on the right.
Photo 4: Never caught the name of the one on the left and I think Maureen on the right? This is the photo that I am most unsure of.
Photo 5: Clearly Dave’s son Tyler!

Sally and I would just like to say a big thanks to everyone attending the GTG on Sunday.
It was a pleasure yet again meeting some of the regulars.

It was also nice having mr redshirt guy drop in
Ballarat Bill come out for a good few hours.
And the little guy Benny making a tidy profit from my good will. That one will go far in business,

We do really appreciate the ones who have to travel to attend.
I'm also glad Benny hopefully didn't pick up to many bad habits from me giving him a quick lesson on CA application on a pen.

It seems one member here coughs ,Dave as now a little more appreciates the more finer things in live(D8 Diston saws).

On one funny note ,one Bob aka old grey beard ,has on numerous times lectured me on the virtues of prober camera equipment(phone cameras are not proper )
Yet I'm sure I sore no proper camera equipment lol

    Thank you all again Matt.

My apologies for not posting last night, but I had come down with man flu and didn't think I would see the night out.

That probably accounts for my ugly mug not featuring in the rogues gallery

That aside, it was a great day and many thanks to Sally and yourself.
