Flipping freezing in Johannesburg. Been hovering around 0 overnight or less for the last week. Today "warmed" up to about 12 deg. And then we had snow last week - not much mind, but real snow. First time in about 24 years. I hate the cold - which is anything less than 20 C.

Here in Houston, it seems to be monsoon season. I think it's rained every day for at least a month with no end in sight. Normally this time of year we are heading into the dry season.
Of course this time of year it's hot, but it always hot. Haven't had a good freeze in a couple of years. Temps now around the low 30s.

I don't think the temp has been above 10°C (50°F) for more than 6 weeks.

Nice day here today, a little cool but thats what woolly jumpers are for.
Better than last week, biting cold , showery and I hadda do some roof work & dig pipes up. (At least the digging's easier when the soil is damp)

Well, supposed to be 90 degrees (F) plus all week. Have to take my shed time in small bites, then come indoors to cool off.
Cheers,
Bob

We have had 2 weeks of sunshine & no wind & that is very unusual for us.
We have a 350L tank for our drinking water & it is nearly empty, just about a bloody drought.
Even though it is sunny, it is still cool.
It was 6° at breakfast, made it to 16° at midday & I think it went a bit higher during the afternoon, it is 8° out there now.
The blokes in Cairns are complaining 'cos it is colder than normal down there too, 12.8° at the Airport at present.
There are some places for sale up here Alex.Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

We've had two lots of snow in the last couple of weeks. Frost on the decking rails by 9 PM, currently about 2 degrees C beautiful sunny days.
The little creek that runs through our place is flowing and we go to bed at night with the sound of 1000's of frogs croaking near our dams and ponds.- Wood Borer
