I got ripped off as well...
I am another victim of Scotts BS. I have been waiting since August and still dont have mine, my full saga can be read in the link someone posted above which goes to the advrider forums. I also posted on myswag forum. At the moment my situation is that Northline transport have got my trailer in their Perth depot, where they are holding it because it was badly damaged in transit. I am waiting for Scott to do the insurance paperwork. On top of this, all the custom extras I paid for were never fitted to the trailer and the fridge he promised me I highly doubt is onboard either. I can't check though as apparently the keys are missing to enter the trailer and I also doubt it has a compliance plate/vin number, dont know what to do about that... I too had all the same stories along the way as you guys, sent to wrong address way up north, sent to someone with similar name, lost by transport company etc. I too also got the big appology the other day when I was letting him know about the damage to the trailer, 'I am really sorry I have lied to you since day one about the trailer being ready and everything and now I have been broken into and it must be karma for me being such a liar...' yeah whatever now you are trying to make us feel sorry for you?? Looks like still wont have a trailer by xmas and still have got a fight on my hands to get the extras I paid for and get all the damage fixed. This is a terrible situation for all of us and I really hope everyone gets what is owing to them, no one should have to put up with this kind of BS and stress!

G'day Rhino.
Yeah. I had a gander at the Other forum you posted on.
There must be at least 20 to 30 people this bloke has ripped off.
The 4x4 forum, The bike forum, The swag forum, The campertrailer forum, and now the woodwork forum.
If he hasn't placed the total refund in our bank by 3pm today, the missus is going to see a solicitor regards fraud and theft and also the police will be involved and seek criminal charges against the bloke. Will see what the legal eagle has to say.
I don't care if he has to sell his house, car, boat, dog, budgie...I will get my money back.
What a lovely way to spend the leadup days to christmas.Hooroo.

I have been following this thread, very unhappy for all of you.
Regarding the compliance plate thing, this may be of some use to you who are in qld.
I registered my trailer about 18 months ago. Queensland Transport can issue you a chassis number and sell you a builders plate for about $5, you engrave it yourself and then rego can proceed. This certainly applies to trailers under 750kg atm, and almost certainly for trailers under 1.06 tonne. So if you get a camper trailer, and it lacks the plates, you may be able to sort rego without too much hassle.
Hope that helps.I'm just a startled bunny in the headlights of life. L.J. Young.

Me too, it looks like you're dealing with a professional rip off merchant.
From reading all this I think that if you all push hard the company will go into liquidation and you will get nothing and this guy will start up again under a new business entity. I think he is smart enough to have all his assets safely in another legal entity just in case this happens.
If any of you paid with a credit card I would contact your credit card company about getting your money back through them and cancel your order, this maybe quicker and prossibly the only way to get your money back.
BTW what made you buy from this guy?
Peter.

Well I just got the brush off again from our friend Scott in relation to doing the insurance paperwork for my damaged trailer... and then he basically ignored me when I was telling him about the missing items I had paid for... he just said yeahyeah we'll sort that... unbelievable. As far as the paperwork goes, he was too busy off site with clients until late this afternoon to look at it and will get to it on the weekend... he is a pathological liar, the lies just roll off his lips with such ease. How can anyone live wit themselves when they have lied so much, does he feel no shame or guilt??
At the end of the day all I want is what I paid for and I deserve to get that as do we all. I then want nothing else to do with this guy ever again. My wife now does not even want to keep the trailer if we ever get it as she feels that there are too many negative feelings associated with it. In fact she is hardly speaking to me anymore she is so off that I bought it in the first place. I bought it so we could spend some quality time together and become closer and it has ended up doing just the opposite. It has ruined one lot of holidays for us already this year and now looks like the Xmas break will be ruined as well... It makes me sad to think that people like this actually exist and effect so many peoples lives in such a negative way and yet they just keep on with their lies and deceipt not caring about the chaos all around them. It is criminal.

hey there, yeah it just doesnt get any better. We wanted a camper also so that we could actually live a little. The only person i am angry with is scott, my husband is really trying hard to sort things out, mind you, i would just rather our money back and start again. The whole excitement of having our own trailer has somewhat diminished !!!
As for our trailer being picked up this morning, yep u guessed it, DIDNT HAPPEN. Scott rang my husband a while ago and said its getting picked up this afternoon.
asked why not this morning and scott had no reply?? Makes you wonder

no, he doesn't have the emotional armoury to feel those feeling. This is interesting and seems to describe him well.

spoke with bill in depth last night and he agrees with all us
he told me if it is good to go he could have it here on my door step BEFORE xmass
