Hi Neil,
Thanks for your note about spammers infilitratng emails and their sending out of multiple emails, probably with viruses from address books. I have been in touch with my Postmaster, Big Pond and they advise as follows
"We are experiencing issues delivering emails to Yahoo due to Yahoo's anti-spam program. Yahoo is currently rate limiting connections, although this is good for blocking spam,, it is also blocking many legitimate emails from larger ISP's like ourselves. We are working hard to resolve the issue and expect to have a solution in place shortly. As we do not keep copies of sent email, if you need to readdress it, simply forward it to the correct address from your own sent items folder". I have deleted my whole address book and kept a hard copy for future use. Regards, john m.

Does the spammy stuff look like the stuff in the blue oval on the pic below?
Attachment 160847
If it does, it isn't spam it is Google Ads and these help keep these forums running. You will neversee an ads for a site as these are totally banned, there shouldn't be ads for anything that isn't relevant to the subject being discussed in the thread you are currently in.
As Cliff said it may well be malware in your computer. Whatever it is it isn't coming from this site. The spammers we have are mostly robotic and trying to post their unwanted garbage in threads and posts. They are also mostly under control. Thanks to some sneaky programming and a brilliant, ever-watchful team of moderators and administrators.
Cheers - Neil

"... no matter how small ..."
There's been a couple of occassions where the page just hasn't load; and other pages loaded fine. But when I say a couple, I mean one this evening, and 2 over the last week or so.
Not very specific, but ...
otherwise all good.Regards
TT

Problem
I was dropped, at least on logging in it refused me, saying I wasn't registered. I had been logged on yesterday, so something happened in the interim. Just re-registered and all seems OK now.

Speed appears to be good and no slow loading pages - only strange thing that has started is that on quite a few occasions when going from one screen to another or clicking on 'View First Unread" the page appears to "jump" once and then presents as normal.

Bob

I have just tried 3 times to gain access to the forum , and got a response like "the server is busy , try later".
I eventually got through.
