Well this thread has had a good run of interest
I am available most times.
You will want to think about if it going to have food (BBQ, finger food, ect) and how you want to fund it.
I will offer that I can stop off on the way up the hill and pick up supplies, if this helps out.
Also pick up any who want a lift who along my way.

Hi Brett
I'll be over in Sydney on the weekend of 16th/17th of February so, if it happens to fall on that weekend, I'd love to come along if it's OK
Cheers
Geoff

Hints for Forum Get Togethers.
Set a date. Not everybody can make it and you can't please everyone.
Don't cater. This is not a dignitaries BBQ with silver service. It is a backyard BBQ and should be kept casual. If you want formal you may as well go to a restaurant.
Everyone brings their own lunch. The host only has to supply the venue, a BBQ (preferably a big one) and tea, coffee, sugar and milk. A lot of that is needed if they are normal woodies. An urn is handy.
If it is just a yakfest no other planning is needed, if it has a theme or demonstration get people to bring along an object pertinent to the theme. Be prepared that you could get inundated with stuff and not everyone will get to show or talk about what they have.
Bring a chair.

Its interesting to see the wide range of people already considering attending Bret so many into woodworking and/or metalworking of such wide varieties a vast conglomerate of knowladge
I think someone already said some may be away on holidays. I wonder about such as
Alexs
Ian
Ruddy
Hardenfast
Colbra
Christos
Edited to add
Rogera...........Sydney's Allan from Wallan always good with jokes often better than Allan's (sorry Allan)
There of course could be so many more if your place can handle it.
Plenty of decent restaurants in Katoomba which could cater for 50 to 100 people at reasonable group rates even if it was just for lunch, no clean up after.
Lets hope that fire or water restrictions are not imposed on the day

Roight den....a date
Ok, a date:
Sunday 10th Feb
from 10.30 until we run out of yak (the verbal kind)
Bring what you want for the BBQ
BYO liquids
Bring a collapsible chair
We will supply:
Salads
Coffee & Tea
A cake (if you're good)
An address (I'll send a PM in due course)
No theme, but maybe you want to bring a small tool or two for discussion. Something that's hard to get, rare, super-useful, or that you have made yourself.
Apologies to those for whom the date is unsuitable (I'd love to catch up with Geoff Sims and Dai Sensai).
Anything I haven't covered?

Hi Brett,
If your numbers allow I will make it up there. It's actually not far 'as the crow flies'.
Cheers,
Nathan.
