Very nice......
Far better than my first hammer. Are you using a helper with your fullering tools, or have you got access to a sprung/linked/guillotine style set?

There is two of us striker &director. If it was smaller stock a sprung fuller would be easier as it self aligns. Trying to hold the stock in tongs, put it in the right spot over the bottom fuller and then align the top fuller making sure everything is square, parallel and lined up all by eye between each blow. The sledge makes it all jump out of place.

For those of you following my journey, you might like to check out my new forge:

It came with a bag of charcoal and the lot cost me less than most people pay for a blower.…..Live a Quiet Life & Work with your Hands

I would try to get the busted anvil. Way better than scrap metal. You can always weld a fifth leg to compensate the imbalance. Not perfect but usable.
I agree with the previous comment, you only break an anvil if there is disproportion between its weight and the weight of the hammer used.“We often contradict an opinion for no other reason
than that we do not like the tone in which it is expressed.”

Yep, that's a very nice hammer mate. Would go nicely with my others. We may have to discuss pricing if you are at all interested in making me one. No problems if you're not however, looks to be a bit of work!
This is an excellent thread BTW. Very enjoyable. I'm considering having a dabble in the blacksmithing side of things as an aside to the bladesmithing but just got a wood lathe so will haven't learn to use that first... Just because I have it now.
