Some time ago I was chasing minwax tung oil. I was referred by minwax USA to their australian distributor who offered to sell me some direct since they don't have a "proper" retail outlet in brisbane.
Just an option if your bent on the minwax product. At least you'd know it was fresh. I thought the service was pretty good.I'm just a startled bunny in the headlights of life. L.J. Young.

From not knowing what I was talking about last week when I went looking for the stuff, I've just taken a trip to my local Bunnings (Mindarie) and to my suprise sitting on the shelf were about 10 cans of Minwax wipe on poly in the gloss, plus another half dozen or so in the satin plus they also had the furniture restorer..
Looks like they might be going to keep some instock again !
The cans all looked brand new, no rusting or denting or even any dust on top.Rgds

Plenty at Bunnings, Browns Plains. Looks like new stock too. They have the gloss and the satin finish. I counted 5 cans of each. They also have another minwax product that removes old finishes and had quite a few of these too so it would appear that bunnings are not dumping these products.
Reality is no background music.

Well I was in Bunnings in Darwin this week and lo and behold a full stock of Minwax has appeared on the shelf .
After a year of checking every visit I finally got my hands on some ,I bought a can of satin and one of gloss.
I asked the attendant how long they had it in stock she said 4 days and it will be a stock item .
The distributor is Bondall here in Australia .
Now I just got to make something to use it on.
