Thanks for all your kind thoughts, well wishes, prayers and jokes everyone (not neccesarily in that order ). Operation was between 1.30 - 5.30 this afternoon. She's in ICU now, fairly lucid, in pain but has "the button" which is controlling it well. A bit of loss of function on one side again but some physio will hopefully sort it out. Hope to be going home on the weekend, but more likely next week. Thanks again all,

    A humbled Mick

Thanks for the update Mick, have been looking a few times today. I'm really glad & happy that it all went well, will carry you guys in thoughts and prayers. That button is a great invention!!! It kept me relatively painfree and happy last September.

    Take care mate

Nows the time to go out and buy a new truck. When she gets back home just tell her you've had it for months, the operation must have caused her to loose a bit of memory

Hmmm, that'd be a low act, clever but still low.....

I feel for you and your wife Mick and hope she makes a full recovery. The beaut thing about this forum is that everyone shares and cares and I hope it stays that way.

    Best regards from Adelaide

    Default Good news!

Got the SWMBO out of hospital today, along with 10 days supply of really strong pain killers. Driving home tommorrow morning early after her first night without people waking her up at all hours to ask her who and where she is and shining lights in her eyes . We'll both be taking it pretty easy for a bit, but I'll find some time to post pics of the goodies I picked up in Townsville.

Glad to hear it mate. Take it easy. Nothing like being back in your own bed after a stay in one of those places. All the best to the cheese and kisses.

I've only just seen this thread because I've been away for a week or so.

Very glad to hear that all went well.

I wish your wife and you the best of luck.
