2nd June 2004, 09:49 AM #46I also lost 20 points, huh?
Maybe a red one is really rare, like a blue Smartie, and the honour of just having one for a day is worth 20 points?
Red Smarties are my favourites anyway.

Ok, so call me stupid, but how do you guys know someone has given you a rep point - good or bad? I can't see anything on anyones usercp or my own that leads to rep info...
Ok, you can stop calling me stupid now!

Shane
Just click on User CP and scroll down, and it has a section titled latest reputations received

If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

I thought I was missing out on something 'cos I kept looking in the usercp for this user rep stuff everyone was talking about & like Shane, I couldn't see spit.
Anyway, being a computer tech & not wanting to appear thick, I ignored it til it p'd me off to the point of having to give it a 'little' shake to see what happened.
As soon as I gave Mick a point for one of his helpful posts, bingo, the lights came on in the usercp & I could see what everyone was waffling on about.
Anyway, up til a couple of you blokes felt sorry for me, I had managed to score a couple of points all by myself for my half sober rave on about static electricity.
As soon as SilentC spots it, he's gonna hit me with a bluey for using his Foghorn Leghorn quotes.Cliff.

OK Shane, No hard feelings, but here's a blue gong.
(I guess I've got that out of my system now!) I figure as a super moderator you can reverse it anyway, and it might shock your system into working! (Specially if you've maxed out on greenies)
Ahhhh that felt sooo good too!
Now tell us what you see!

OK, so does this mean Shane wants us to give him blueys all the time, the Mr Hyde in me wants to accommodate him.
Dr Jekyl says, What the F**k, are you crazy, He's an administrator, he can crush me with a single blow!
Descretion being the better part of valour, i think I'll leave well enough alone.Boring signature time again!

I really hoped this thread would die soon.... I have discovered that when I use a well known browser (Internet Explorer -not my usual) application, that the user points buttons default to the last one used (I think).
When I gave Shane a bluey (in the interests of science) the default stayed on the bad reputation button. When I use my regular browser (Apple's Safari) the default is always positive. It is just possible that the rash of negative votes is all Bill Gate's fault after all!
This may explain some posts regarding positive comments yet negative votes?
I guess one needs to be careful to check that the correct box is ticked...
or never use Explorer
Cheers,
P
