I don't think you can save the image from Google Maps.

"Print Screen" saves screen image to clipboard. Then open whatever (e.g. MSPaint) and "Paste."

new rule....anyone who knows the location 1st hand is barred from entering....we want WILD guesses
neil.Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonay in one hand - Strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming - "WOO WOO...What a ride"

I believe the little township in view in the picture is Bremer Bay on the Wellstead Estuary. The township of Bremer Bay is situated at the south end of the Fitzgerald River National Park in Western Australia. I've never been anywhere near there.

Ian.

That's Huskisson. Yes I have been there. Once...
BTW I use maps.google.com and a little screen capture program I downloaded that lets you capture a rectangular portion of the screen and save it to jpg or gif.

Right neck of the woods but it's not a built up area - no houses. It's in a National Park.

How did you cheat? I reckon if you found it by scanning the coast with Google Earth then that's legit.
