Collingwood is a club doomed never to win a Grand Final. Have to grin over the "master plan" of blooding youngsters. The only plan at Collingwood is to try and spin todays events so they don't look bad in tomorrows news.
Back to the topic it's no tradgedy when Collinwood lose. Brock and Irwin were. Colin Thiele in particular is a very sad loss. A great Author who gave many of us a love of reading and what's more he told Australian Stories about Australian kids, long before the chattering set started bleating about it. Thiele I suppose was a quieter man who let his work speak for him. Never saw him in the media. Might have been an interview with him sometime but that's all. He did at least live to quiet a decent age, so that is different to Irwin in particular but none the less I hope that all can raise a glass to Colin Thiele as a great Australian who contributed something to our nation.
