fwiw:
Using Firefox, Chrome, or Edge on Windows 10 I'm seeing none of that. With the exception of Chrome, I don't even see the top banner ad. Chrome shows a broken link in that space.
My adblockers are disabled. If I enable them on Firefox or Chrome I don't see the Sponsor ads on the right. I don't have an adblocker for Edge.
My iPhone is a different story. Safari and iOS13 performs exactly as the other posters have indicated, i.e., banner type ads in and between posts.
I am logged in in all of the above browsers.Dave

Not happening for me any more. I am ONLY using Edge on Windows 10, no other browser, not even on a phone. Having said that, when this first came up I do recall seeing those "after 2nd post" ads a couple of times, but it was a relatively small number of times I can remember.

The additional ads are more a distraction than an annoyance to me, more so when they are in a post which already has included photos. They disrupt the context of a post when they are about a similar product to the subject of the thread. Perhaps we could run a comp for the funniest ad / thread subject mismatch.
We can't escape the advertising unless we use adblockers. hmm....Mobyturns

Steven's on it but we are both bamboozled as to what it is or how the ads are being injected into the posts.
They are definitely not of our doing and definitely shouldn't be there.
More info as it comes to hand or when we find the problem.

Neither Steven or myself can get any of the ads to show even if logged in as regular member or logged out.
Could someone put a link to the pages where the ad has shown up along with pic of ad. This may be of some help in tracking down the problem.
Also if you have this problem could you please log out and back in again and this will clear any cached views. Probably not the problem but will try anything right now to see if it helps.

happy to be a guineapig if you want to add me to one of those groups you mention previously, if that helps ? (I suspect it doesn't, except to confirm the behaviour there is as-expected.... won't do anything for the unknown situation for regulars)

I have been affected by this for the last few days, and I was still seeing the ads at 7am when I was last on.
But just came up to the house for a coffee and a biscuit, they seem to be gone now, things appear back to normal for me.
Thanks Neil and Steven for whatever you did to fix it.Brad.

Sorry... Work interrupted the posting of this.
I tried both the links above in Lappas' post and nothing came up for me.
About 2 hours ago I disabled all the ads on the forums except for the side sponsors ads.
Please let me know ASAP if there are any of the offending ads still showing for any of you.
Offending ads, are the ones inside a post. Not the top or side banners they will be replaced later tonight or tomorrow and will remain to help keep the forums up and running.
Ads will be replaced one by one with a few hours between the replacements so if anyone sees one of the offenders please post in here ASAP so we can isolate it but I'm still of the opinion the offending ad wasn't of our doing, or at least, wasn't intentionally of our doing.
Cheers - Neil

108 members have read this thread but only 15 have posted.
Just wondering if it's a problem isolated to a few rather than all and maybe it's something that's isolated to the posters computers.

Happens only on my samsung S8 mobile. Does not happen on my pc as I am running a decent Anti VirusMalware program. Not sure what its set to.
However this were not appearing on my mobile before I reported it on the MWF ...last week sometime.
Just wish the mod over there was as objective as the mod is here.
No updates to phone or new apps since mid oct.
Also I am in full pc mode or whatever its called and not the mobile page stuff or whatever thats called. Ie the site looks the same as it would on any pc.
No adds here in this post but they are still visible on the MWF page.
