OMG... lol... what next?
Oh...loved this one... gave me a little laugh...
... HOWEVER... being a widow 6 years on now I must tell you this forum was the most welcome interaction for actually chatting to "woodworking guys" with out being HIT on....!!!
Yes the percentage is rather stacked in the males-favour, being the greater number of members... an I'm sure the women members who do part-take in the sawdust-hobby/woodwork may also assume the same ideas as I do... this is a safe place to chat & make friends, with out any innuendo being implied... sometimes there have been sexest comments but I've not seen anyhing that has been too insulting or suggestive in the past six years.
Perth group of Ubeaut also sometimes get together for BBQ's & I'm also the only woman who attends these ... NEVER have the male members been anything other than true gentlemen & great friends...for this I thank you...
After loosing my partner I actually missed the interaction, chatting & discussing woodwork.... ideas & thoughs from a males perspective... its just freshing to be accepted & treated as an equal.
NOW.. after saying that... if someone is looking for a woodworking-wench... caravaning weekend witch, who will hitch on & travel at every opportunity... then your most welcome to apply or send resumes via IM's (but make sure you have your own sander & please be a DeWalt or Festo user)...hehehe....
Honestly.. I love that this forum has never given that type of impression...
I've also been on dating sites... they suck...
Unfortunately most men on dating sites don't like a woman who is compitant with tools, creative & comfortable in steel-caps...
So flying solo works for me on here... don't let this become one of those sites... PLEASE....
Obviously some guys havn't enough work to get on with ...OK.. mind back on the job.. go make more sawdust..!!
Good laugh.
Cheers KEKEMO... alias SHEDLADYDon't think you're playing it safe by walking in the middle of the road.....that's the surest way to get hit by traffic coming from both ways!
I'm passionate about woodwork.......making Sawdust again & loving it!

Wait! No one told you your government was a sitcom?

...might have to re-think that...
LOL.... well 100% agreement with you... this isn't one of those sites... THEN>>>>>>> hell ... YEP... I get an IM... OH NO....!!!!
Sorry, had to turn down request... member didn't have a FESTO or DeWALT..
also didn't have a cruiser.. boat... 4WD caravan... double sound-prove workshop... lumberyard... or overhead flitration system...
... don't want much do I?
Well...seriously not going out with anyone that hasn't got what I have already!
Modest .. mild & meek.. & a one track mind! WOOD WOOD WOOD....
However, I'd like see more opportunites to meet more fellow woodworkers... had same problem with wanting to join a caravanning group... they (a WA Caravan Group) wouldn't allow me to join as I was now husbandless... a single woman wasn't welcome... & all I wanted was to learn more about generators & solar power units.. converters ... electric brakes...etc...
WHO is more persecuted... single/married woman or single/ married men... for innocently chatting about hobbies to opposite gender...???
NO MORE IM... Please... ( hehehe)Don't think you're playing it safe by walking in the middle of the road.....that's the surest way to get hit by traffic coming from both ways!

I've just shown her the thread and she concedes defeat. No green eyed monsters here I might say as well. My hope is that we all enjoy this great forum and find positive encouragement and inspiration from what we find within.
