    Just like most power tools with a cutting edge, you have to be awake & paying attention.

    I use mine outside the shed 'cos it does spray the chips around but so does a chainsaw, a wood lathe, & an angle grinder.

    Thanks for the offer, Pat. I don't travel a lot, but if I'm going by I might sing out and drop in as I pass. I go up to Sydney now and then by train.
    Towradgi isn't that far, but too far for my pushbike.

    Not that it's very necessary - I'm already convinced that I want a TurboPlane.

    OK, just getting around to it.... here is the piece I used it on.
    The timber is a BIG lump of mango, 880mm wide, 510mm high, 60mm thick.
    The masks are pottery made by a local artist in Malanda.
