All good replies folks,
However it is a separate toilet, no shower or basin just a loo in a room 2.6M x 0.9M with one window, no drain, floorboards and a door. I'll post a picture if you like before and after the pommie **** catcher goes down. The missus is keen for carpet. However we're not talking axeminster here just cheapo 18 bucks/ M2 to see how it goesHelp ma boab, the bairns goat it awe wrang!

Carpet in the dunnies????
Mate, even my wooden toilet seats get to be replaced every couple of years, the brass fittings (Chinese version) corrode away.
I do have a teenage boy who has become fond of beer and has dozens of his dopey mates always around, oh, and my dopey mates (who are equally fond of beer), have bladders more capacious and whose aim is oft astray.
A serious question. Any bright ideas as to how to fix a wooden dunny seat once the brass fitings corrode away? I have a fair few, which I've kept. It seems crazy to go buy more when all thats wrong is basically the hinge.
On re-reading the above, I feel I may have left myself open to forum humour here.
