Brudda, what part of Traralgon are you in? Was the flood higher than the 1978 flood? That was estimated as 50 year average recurrence interval flood. I worked there then, and had to write an explanation for the local rag after they published a front page head line "No more floods for 50 years, says Board". Did Traralgon Ck. come down? I'd heard of "walls of water" but didn't believe such a thing could exist, but we recorded one on the creek that changed my mind.

Cor, fun and excitement all round.
For what it's worth, here in Adelaide, we've had lots of steady sort of half hearted wet stuff that is a bit more than drizzle but not really rain. Still, maybe the grass will finally grow (dammit, then I'll have to mow it).
I sympathise with all of you suffering flood or other related rain damage.

Went out ot the car this morning to go shopping and it covered in little dings. Hmm! "At least its just cosmetic" I thought. Then I got in and noticed the crack in the windscreen. "Oh! Cheese and Whiskers." Also both indicators were knocked out and just hanging by their wires. They just popped back in luckily. They are predicting more storms and hail today. Maybe we should go quickly round and clear the gutters.

Maybe some super glue in the crack? (Acshully I do have some "crystal clear glass adhesive" Its supposed to be "dishwasher safe" (Expose to daylight, cure in seconds. )If I can't get into a repair place for a while. (cos I think they might be a bit busy ) I might stick some of that in it. )

Thought that I only had the one fist sized ding, on a closer look there are little ones all over the roof and boot. When I rang the insurance company they said that they just pay out hail damage and in my case as the case is only eight weeks old a new car. I had to wait three months while they built this one with all the extras I wanted

hey Alex, when it flooded here 2 years ago, someone from council was talking on the radio and the talk was that it was a 200yr flood. That made the announcer feel better until the council bloke said "But statistically it could happen again tomorrow"
