    It's more complete than mine too. I don't have the knurled plunger.
    Is there a spring in there?

    Springless Jordan. The No.1's tailstock is sprung and possibly the 3A's was also. The screw seems excessively long. Maybe a shortened centre was used originally??

    The give away base has been given away.
