Not sure how impressive the end result will be.
I am giving it my best shot and and am mentally prepared to have to redo parts again to get them right.

As the rules say, that we can only use what we have in our workshop, all my drilling is done by my "Lazarus Drill" (named by IanW).
It is real fun and a good work out. But as the base flexes a bit I had to do a few test drills to be able to predict which way it would deviate.
I think I got sufficient accuracy out of it. I had to drill the hole for the cross pin from both sides and they met within good enough precision to get a brass dowel through everything.
So slowly the frog takes more shape. Still quite crude and a bit of tuning required.
Soon I can start making it look pretty. Definately needs some curves....

Now it looks like my frog wants to give me a hug [emoji16]
I decided to follow Matt's advice and only put one big curve on it. Not to go overboard.
And on the back a champher across the top. And rounded a few spots over as well as drilling and tapping the holes for the screws to fix it to the body later. And with body I mean the plane body I am going to make and not Matt's plane "The Body" [emoji12]
So far only sanded to 120 grit. Next would be to permanently peen the lever cap brackets in place. But I am a bit nervous about that and will check everything over once more. Now it is still easy to adjust things if needed.
Maybe I will do the lever cap first and see how everything might fit. I will sleep over it.

Well, maybe this picture makes that clearer. I champhered the brackets and set them in a dovetail of the frog body. I am planning to peen them into it to give a tight joint from the back. And then I am also thinking peening the cross pin and file flush. That should hold everything nice together. But maybe I just drive the pin in and leave it so that one can still get it out if required.

Thanks Mountain Ash.
That drill is great. I resurrected it from near death. Hence Ian named it the Lazarus Drill.

The brackets for the lever cap are now permanently attached. I will just leave the peening of the cross pin until the very last in case I have to make some changes or so.
Also I further refine some lines. So the level of sanding now is just because I wanted to see how it would turn out. A few little gaps, but I am pretty happy. That was the first time in my life peening. A few miss hits though.
Also started preparing the lever cap.
I weighed my material before and found the beast might turn out to be 3kg. That's a bit on the heavy side I think. The Stanley 112 is just about 1.8kg. I knew I'd be heavier, but am thinking now where I could safe some weight... Keep you posted.

Today I was more like tearing my hair out. I made a mistake preparing the brackets fir the lever cap.
Nothing lost, but I have yo make a new lever cap. But looking at Matt's lever cap also gave me inspiration for a new shape. And at same time I try to make it lighter.
Still quite some shaping and filing to do. This is the status from tonight.

Luckily I had enough material to make a new one. And the first one I can still trim down for the lever cap for the scrub plane.
I just have now the daunting feeling that I had some of that material allocated for something else. I just cannot remember for what....
