I have 2 FS 1400 rails and a holey rail, all Festool, and bought the Makita guide rail connectors to join them. Much better that the Festool connectors as the Maks are 2 piece that speads as you tighten, therefore metal plate against ali rail.
Still use a straight edge to straighten them though.

Thanks, but they're more than double the price of the Festool ones. That's something you don't see every day!

OK, only 45% more expensive from Amazon ($46 v $32).
They do look like a better joiner though.
