Bummer
Ouch! Ern, kinda reminded me why I sold my bike. So its a no win all round, no turning, no bike for a bit and no trip to Japan.
I hope it does not aggravate and existing condition.

Just came across this thread. Jees Ern, look after yourself.
Never figured you for a Fireblade riding kind of guy from your Avatar, but there you go . Glad it was relatively minor (not that a busted wrist would feel terirbly minor at the time ).
Take it easy, let the wrist heal and gaffer-tape a bowl gouge to the cast - you should be fine
cheers,
Dave...but together with the coffee civility flowed back into him

Geez Ern,
Sorry to hear about your prang. And I hope you get some feedback about the clown who nudged you, sometimes they have no idea that there's been contact and wonder where the scratches came from. The bloke that hit me was chased down by a driver behind him, otherwise I would have had to get the bike fixed at my cost!
Cheers, and may 2010 be a better year all round.

Gees, ya look at a thread title and think "Ern's put the chisel through the side of a bowl and everybody's taken the "
Then ya have a read and think "ah shyte"
Ern get better - hope the wrist heals better and stronger then it was.
Hope you eventually find out what actually happened. Hopefully the police report will be enlightening.
Lay back and watch the cricket - but that's pretty depressing!
With the sort of luck you've had I sincerely hope 2010 is heaps betterregards

Thanks guys.
I'm starting on the seriously irritated stage of recovery where temper fracture is the main risk to self and others
The Fireblade was dropped off yesterday by Club mates and there's more damage to the RHS than I'd been told (the Club Secretary describes anything short of a write-off as 'minor cosmetic') . The oggy knob is bent well back; tank dinged; two fairing panels; muffler; mirrors; indicators; fairing nose sub-frame. No frame damage that's visible so it'll be repairable.
OK, it didn't happen without pics so here's one. The plate holding the head of the radius together AFAIK. Reckon we should introduce orthopods to Kreg pocket hole jigsCheers, Ern

You won't be able to fly anywhere with that in your arm - set off every airport alarm known to man
got anything in your pockets
belt off go through again
shoes off go through again
strip off go through againregards
