    Default A reply from Jow104

Janet and I would wish to respond to everyone on this forum and thread with their replies of help and good wishes to Janets speedy recovery.
I am pleased to say that Janet has taken her first steps on a frame 30 hours after the operation and I know she will make a good recovery.

I cannot express my feelings enough on how to say thank you, and that there are so many Good Samaritans in Australia.

Great Scott! Having been a recipient of Scotts hospitality I have a word of warning for J&J...... look out for the cooking!!! You could get charged for excess baggage when you fly home, even if you board without bags and starkers..... Scotts cooking is THAT good! YUUUUM..........

    Thumbs up

Yeap, good news John, make the best of it mate, while she is still on the frame, she'll have a hard time catching you.

Janet, you keep trying but don't over do it.
My Father inlaw had to have 2 ops on the same hip, 2nd one 'cos he went out too hard too soon & bugga'd the first one up.

Our thoughts are with you both John, Hope the Cross Stitch Queen is able to make use of the down time and recovers well enough to continue with the planned stay.

I know you were both looking forward to the Winter Break away from the UK, but I think Janet must have misread the script somewhere.

    Excellent news John!

I do hope that Janet makes a speedy and full recovery. That fall must have been quite a nasty one, but it doesn't take much (DAMHIKT).

I'm glad that some forumites have been able to help.

    Take care mate!

Just got back from a week away in the North Yorkshire Moors, read this. Sorry to hear about this happening so far from home Jon, but as is so very obvious, you are amongst a great bunch of people ready & willing to help out. We are all ready to complain about human bad behaviour,(me included) but when we see acts of kindness like these it restores your faith in human kindness.. Good on you all.

Best Wishes for a speedy recovery.
