Dallas,
Yes it does - good old days - lead carryover misgal - don't miss it mate , although I don't think we want I burning in the coal tuck. Needs another coat of paint. Wondering abut vermiculite as my ballast for the track - what do you think ? Still need to add gloves and socks to Joe. Cathie and I work well together.
Thanks
Keith

Hi guys,
I am fine, thanks for your concern everyone. Weather is beautiful in Hervey Bay. Big bream, 25 degrees today - no wind, sunburnt. Looking forward to sunny Victoria ???? shortly. Really missing my shed though.
The 2 bream are 38cm (1.5kg) and 31cm respectively (caught them yesterday), 3 today a bit smaller, threw 2 back.
Regards
Keith

Not that's not fair..... beaut holiday spot, good fishing and warm...had a few family holidays up there in the early 1960's....
My grandfather in the late 1960's used to complain about all the Victorian's who moved north invading the Sunshine Coast during winter....BUT now I'm much older, I think I understand..Keep enjoying the warmth and the holiday, Keith...cheers crowie

Peter,
It is probably a lot different than the 60's but the crowds aren't that bad. A nice place. We went to Noosa in the 70's and there was nothing there except good surf. Noosa different now though. Balmy 26 today but a bit windy. Heard it is snowing in Ballarat (90klms from Geelong).
Regards

Hi All.
I'm back !!!!!
Great holiday. Long drive from Hervey Bay to home - 2180 kilometres. The Ford went great (as they aways do - don't they Crowie).
I gave he coal in the tender another coat of paint (50% paint 50% water to ensure it reached all the crevices of the of the scoria) Glue well and truly dry after 5 weeks (LOL). This has now got rid of any trace of red of the scoria.
Next part of this project is to build the track. This will be "angle iron" supported by sleepers.I will age the sleepers in a similar fashion to how I aged the wooden tender - using wire brush on my angle grinder.
Good to be back in the shed.
Regards
Keith
