i have already done that. iv always been set to remember me on all urls.
i jsut haev to open them and close them again and all is good.

This multiple logon stuff is bloody silly.

I agree. You don't have to actually disable anything though. You can set up rewrite rules to automatically redirect users to the main .com domain and keep the full URL intact.
So for example, if someone goes to www.woodworkforums.ubeatu.com.au/blah/this/, it will redirect them to www.woodworkforums.com/blah/this.
That way, previously indexed search results and other sites that link to this one will all still work correctly. Search engines will actually update their indexes if you do this correctly by using a 301 Redirect.
Just my thoughts - but happy to help someone out with the technical stuff if you like.
