.22 and ratshot..... can be used safely inside the shed without damaging anything but the spoggies.

Shanghai and Jaffas as ammunition - they shatter on impact.
You could also try what the yachties use to keep the seagulls off the rails - old CD's suspended on fishing line - they swing in the slightest breeze and the reflections as well as the movement appears to keep them at bay.
