I've coated all my tools, susceptable to rust, with silverglide. BTW, all my tools live outside under a patio, so they can corrode very quickly if I don't protect them in some way.
I use lanox on my TS though.

First coat for any new cast iron is a generous dose of teflon spray and then wax over the top. After use more wax.
