+1 for seeking professional advice. A wrong call now could haunt you for the rest of your life. Also make sure you're looking after yourself both physically and mentally....if it's all getting on top of you then find someone to talk to and never be afraid to seek professional assistance if needed. not sure if mentioned but u can access your super in certain circumstances. i was in same boat got behind on bills was able to use my super to clear them
theres a few hoops to jump through but its pretty quick

If your son is at university, I would also be looking at the Austudy payments he should receive. 280 a fortnight +

Thanks for all the help. The CC providers have agreed to hardship agreements. As for Austudy payments... a joke. My son was denied because his mother and I earned too much last year combined. Unemployed, on the bones of my ar*e but because I used to earn $90K we suffer.
