Google is a search engine it only lists sites it's up to you to have the necessary spam , anti virus , safety filters in place
My advice is Never open attachments from anyone not in your adress book its like getting tellymarketing phone calls hang up don't listen same on you computer Delete get a decent norton anti virus / firewall on your computer and keep up to date with the downloads plus Ad-aware and spybot anti spyware software and use it regularly
and even then you can still get infected so get protected
The Mac guys love this as the virus problems with mac are few and far between
and rightly so ( but they can't update as easily)

Thanks Ashmore.
By the way, are you the so and so that removes the road direction signs around Newcastle?
Coming up from the south earlier this year a sign said "bypass Newcastle etc." so I did but it never gave me anymore directions for getting back to the Pacific Hwy.
What do you do? Take down the signs and use them for roofing. (like Floridaians do after a hurricane)woody U.K.

Doesn't mean the email came from them anyway - it is very easy to spoof a legit address to make it look like the email came from a real source (particularly someone you know who has your address in their address book, or a legit website).
Beware ANY unsolicited emails.

Its Ashore no m
You took the " By-Pass" newcastle and missed the best Harbour City in Australia
plus possibly the best Ex Marine Engineers Shed on the East coast of Australia, not to mention a good beer and a great meal. Don't do it again
Road sign's,
3 years ago my daughter married a lad from Chester-le-street out of Newcastle and we were over for the wedding .
We went to cornwall ( moushole) for a few weeks and the way back cut through Paignton on the way to Torquay then up the A 380 and back to London
so don't talk about street signs road directions etc . Its easy to see why the U.K. has the highest sales of in car GPS navigation systems

Changing out motherboards and CPUs on PC machines is necessary mainly because the hardware dates so quickly and can barely keep up with changes in the Windows OS and user software. Not as big an issue with the Mac...you can happily run the latest Mac OS on a Mac with a G3 chip. Thats akin to running Windows XP on a 486.....
Add more RAM......easy...go out and buy the extra RAM and then just plug it in.
Add a new hard drive or burner......if you really cant get by with just your internal drives then buy yourself an external firewire drive and just plug it in.

I have only one ask of a computer..that I be able to turn it on have iot do the job I want it to and then I turn it off (and the bldi thing actually turns off). PCs and Windows couldnt manage the task...the Mac can .
Who the hell are 3rd faze? Sounds like the in house code name for Microsoft's next operating system (= bug fix).

Wasn't rubishing Mac's just messing wif ya cause us Windows guys can't possibly admit that all this money we have spent on computers was badly or mispent or that Mac's could be a better buy.

Ashore:
Did my rehabilitation, pulse reached 102 and informed would be required at least 3 times aweek for the forseeable future. At the moment considering the best method of achieveing this figure. Got some pleasant ideas
I have had two tours on the Eastern coast and the Great Divide Roads of Australia and without wishing to give any offence Newcastle honestly had the worst road direction signs of the trips. Going North I explained in the earlier thread, but I have travelled southerly through Newcastle on two occassions using the city route and the road travel signs are not as good as other Oz towns. (I can still remember the huge Cementry and the right hand turning on that route).
We unfortunately (not myself of course) most probably need those GPS instruments as some of our natives delight in also removing road signs. The consequence of these gagets is that they are often used to provide either the shortest route or scenic roads and visitors then cause havoc driving down our country lanes which are sometimes only single track in places.
If I am ever able to visit Newcastle again I shall call on your assistance and should anyone visit Devon please give Janet & I a shoutwoody U.K.

Jow Thanks for the kind invertation however my daughter, son in law and Grandson came out to Aus to stay early last year so he haven't any plans of going back to the uk again soon.
Didn't mind the motorways in the uk but the roads in towns and some of the back lanes( meeting the oncoming tractor etc) were a little scary for an open road boy like me . So I came to the conclusion that the best form of travel in the uk was the three weeks on a barge we had
Still all in the experiance

road to tumut
Sounds to me if you had a good time and saw some good English countryside off the motorways & main roads.
However picture attached of a road in NSW. Cabramurra to Tumut at around 1000mtrs going down, single track, hairpins, tried to get the wife to take over the driving but she didn't like the sheer drops on the sides.
Got some more pics of mud roads as well
Hoped you liked our canals.woody U.K.
