The Bosch Glider is very nice indeed. Unlike any other in its action.
I also have the DeWalt 12" traditional slider. Also an great saw, its best feature being the mounted light which projects the shadow from the actual blade onto your material to line up the cut. This feature is dead-accurate and really improves accuracy and no longer do you need to bend down and sight the blade edge against your mark. Very, very good feature on the DeWalt. In saying that, if the Bosch had this feature, I'd use that saw predominantly.
Both great saws. If you need the smaller footprint though (at the back of the saw anyway), the Bosch is pretty hard to go past. How much wood could the woodchuck chuck if the woodchuck could chuck wood?

First impressions. After a check over and some testing I found it needed just a little fine adjusting to get things spot on. After retesting with cuts in all modes it's just awesome and I'm really happy with my buy, that is it's a keeper.

A strange thing happened to my glide saw yesterday, I lost the laser and it took a bit of thinking to figure out why. I had been cutting smaller bits of green timber from a tree that we had cut down and the wet dust from the blade covered the laser and I had to first find it then clean it, problem solved. At first I couldn't figure out where it was so I waited until dark and then found a faint glow with no lights on in the workshop.
