    Default Tough drill press parts

Hi there Norm, I am a new member and picked up your post. I am restoring an old 4 speed Tough drill press and might need a spindle retaining nut for the bearings. Hoping you might pick this up an can make contact with me in Melbourne. Many thanks Paul 0425882217

Hi there kennykoala. It’s virtually complete, repainted and new bearings. On reassembly, I think it is missing either a spacer or second lock nut where the quill passes through the top machined piece. What I have is one nut and a lock washer. The lock washer will not go far enough down the quill to be able to lock the locknut. Seems I am missing either a second locknut or a spacer. This is at the top of the quill where the pulley attaches. Can send photos if I haven’t explained it well. Regards Paul

Hi Norm, do you still have quill springs for the pedestal drills? I’m in Perth and chasing one for a drill I’ve purchased.
