OK, I went with the Bluetack (BluTak?) but left the two screws on the back of the drawer untuched. My conclusions are that bluetack works fine, doesn't really take that long to put on or take off. But next time I won't do anything as the screws on the back that had no bluetack are fine and not full of poly anyway.
