    Years ago when manning (personing) the complaints desk I received a phone call to the following effect:

    "My daughter applied for a job at XYZ Motors out Hometown way.
    The job is to wash the cars on the lot and the girls have to wear a bikini whilst washing.
    My daughter didn't get the job, who can I complain to?"

    various responses immediately came to mind, all of which I managed not to utter ...
