All is mostly running fine for the moment.

We may have a problem or two over the next couple of days also. We are installing a language translator program that's having a problem with another part of the latest vBulletin program or more to the point a couple of installed plugins which we have had to uninstall/decommission to begin again with the language translator.

Hopefully all will be up and running glitchless by the end of Tuesday. Translator will initially only be available to non registered members as read only, via the main Forums and the Forum Archives. Once we're satisfied it's a goer it will become available to all members.

My apologies for any problems or inconvenience that may occur during this process.

    Cheers - Neil

    In the most simple terms:
    METHOD 1

Scroll down to "MANAGE ATTACHMENTS" > "ADD FILE" > "BROWSE" > select the picture > "OPEN" > "UPLOAD" > "INSERT INLINE" or "DONE"

Insert in line will put the pic in at the bottom of the post. Done will enable you to place the pic in the post where you want it via the paper-clip on the top line of the "TEXT BOX"
    METHOD 2

If uploading via the "Insert Image" icon on the top line of the text box do the following:

Click on the "Insert Image" icon

    • if from computer click on "Basic Uploader" > "Browse" > select the picture > "OPEN" > "Upload File"
    • if from URL insert the url then make sure the Retrieve remote file and reference locally check box is unchecked then click on OK

Hope this is if some help.

    Cheers - Neil

I only responded because you're a Texan. I love the San Antonio river walk at Christmas - The rest of the place is pretty good also.

Still seems to be a slight problem. It doesn't remember me - have to log in with password every time. Then I get a message Works OK when I click on any forum.
Using Safari, but I don't think it's a browser problem.

Edit: Just tried clicking on the 'invalid' link in this post and it worked!?

Where on earth did you come up with that login. It hasn't been in use for many years.

The correct url for Woodwork Forums is:

    https://www.woodworkforums.com

    We're catching these requests and redirecting them to the correct url. Basically some third party software we've decommissioned used to do this, your old bookmarks should be working again. For example;

    This:
    http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...d.php?t=181179

    Will redirect to this:

    https://www.woodworkforums.com/showthread.php?t=181179

    Hi Steve

Found this morning that some not all of my emailed subscribed posts went to the main directory of the thread not the thread or post itself.

Have noticed that "Like" for posts has gone.

For some time now when in the "market section" there is no "Quick Links" "Forum Actions" options as well as others across the top.

Its great to see the Translation feature been added at the bottom of the screen.

    Hi there

The links from alert emails sent prior to 5am today were fixed around 7:30ish.

The like button was part of the software we needed to remove, I have a replacement I can set up in a few days.

    regards

I'm glad I read this thread before starting a new one.

Steven - you might need an official notice on decommissioning/replacing the like feature. Many of us now use it and will be wondering....

Default Problems seeing new posts in the new posts section.

When posting I cannot see any of my new posts. They are in the forum and activity stream but not in the 'new posts'.
Could it be something I'm doing wrong?

No. They don't show up in new posts because the board knows you have read them.

How clever..... as long as the rest of the world can see them.
