semi-rant - timber and removalists

Years ago, friends moved and the removalists took a wall sized bookcase which consisted of quite a few besser blocks and planks as well as all of the books. They also took quite a few pots and plants from the fernery.

No problem or even thoughts that it was not "furniture".

Things certainly appear to have changed when the removalist thinks/feels he can pick and choose when he has been contracted to move the contents of a property.

Last move I made they loaded everything including my motorbike and concrete mixer.

oh, forgot to mention.... a mate lives in the new place I'm going to and he has a thicknesser, jointer, big bandsaw, linisher and spindle moulder... which I don't have and he will trade use of the machines for 'going fishing and drinking beer together and using my hand tools'.
