Number of years makes no difference to the message count. Sorry but we have registered spammers laying in wait for many years, biding their time. They're really cunning bastards. Had one only last week been a member for almost 3 years, no posts, the in a matter of a few minutes half a dozen spam posta in different forums until he was shut down and banned from these and other forums around the world by our ever vigilant moderators.
Had there been more pm's available he would have been sending spam pm's.
I realise it's a pain but it is done for your protection. PM spam not only contains unwanted garbage but could contain malicious programs and viruses so it's in the interest of all to have new members locked down pretty tightly until they (at least) appear to be genuine. We have no idea what a new member is like and weather or not they are going to spam, spout radical religious or political rhetoric, link to #### sites, etc so erring on the side of caution is the best preventative.
If you genuinely need to have a larger inbox for sales etc you should contact an administrator and ask for help. It can be done, but it really must be a genuine need.
Moderators are listed in BLUE and Admins are listed in GREENin Currently Active Users at the bottom of the home page.
