Oh, I dunno... I know of a couple of blokes who've managed to regress to the diapers, bibs and mashed food stage.

I know I can do the same work that I did as a lad - better and faster at that! The "trick" is to work smarter, not harder. However, there're some jobs that cost me afterwards no matter how "smart" I am about it. I gave up flooring when, every day for a week, I had to crawl out to the car at knock-off 'cos I couldn't stand upright. And that was with all the flash tools that reduced the need for bending over or kneeling down.

I'm blowed if I know how my ex-boss managed to spend his whole life doing it, working well past retirement age...
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

The cruel part is looking back and thinking about what we should have done. You know,

like buying an acre at Surfers Paradise when they went for $5,000.

And now we know that 18 year old girls wanted us as much as we wanted them! Doh!

And it wouldn't have hurt to travel around the world before marriage and kids.

But we were right about our music. It is the best.

Take heart your probably as fit as most and fitter than some - just out of training
    Agreed on both counts...
    I dont 'feel' old.
Working with 400 kids 3 days a week keeps me young and on my toes.

And yes, I think I am reasonably fit compared to some others my age.

    I've been working on my 6 pack - it's almost a KEG

I know an old bloke in America who reckons he can now ride his push bike a lot further than he used to be able to ... because by the time he's halfway through the ride, he can't remember how bad the first half was

When I was about 18 they told me it was growing pains they never told me it would last into old age. Anyway if you feel a little pain when you wake up in the morning at, least you know your still alive.

    Default Hmmmm

Batcat. I find I can drink a few more beers now I'm older.
I just want my bloody teeth back. Fighting like mad to save the rest. Don't worry....my breath is beautiful....SWMBO makes sure I brush.

I know that feeling. Used to dig holes all day for posts. NOW???
    Forget it.
    Argghh ....my aching bk.
Don't pass them by! Be daring and caring!

Dampen their misery....sit with them and talk a little.

Buy them something to eat and a tram fare to a local mission.
I'm so lucky that I've somewhere to live and have family support.
