My old man just got hold of a Migomag Monomig 190, a 200A single phase unit, takes up to 15kg spools and has a euro connect torch and easy swap return for gas/gasless use. With a Tweco style torch it was $1100inc from a welding place in Muswellbrook. Good value home machine in my eyes!

good choice, a great welder (yeah i'm biased... I own one) But they are tough as nails and will go all day. When I was looking a decent mig, I was going for the WIA but I was offered a go on the migomag 200c and also the WIA and I was sold over.
