Gene Pitney was a singer popular in the 50's and 60's. He sang a song called 24 Hours from Tulsa ( a town somewhere in the USA. Tulsa rhymes with Balsa ( a very soft wood and easy to work.

Pitney died in Wales last week after a concert.

The joke is, it takes a week to build a coffin from oak but "Only 24 hours from Balsa" ryhmes with Tulsa.

If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

OH dear seems we nned to have a funeral.

seems the understanding of subtle humour died with the last generation.

Blame the Americans they never "got" subtle anything, especialy humour.
Any thing with sharp teeth eats meat.
    Most powertools have sharp teeth.
    People are made of meat.
Abrasives can be just as dangerous as a blade.....and 10 times more painfull.

Pity they discontinued the practise of bloodletting to remove excess humours.
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.
