Hi bingoshelley, hows the house coming along? If it's still happening, why do you intend on selling in 6 months.
I don't want to sound like a know-it-all, but if you are intending on building your own house with little building experience, you may want o do a bit more homework.
Iv'e almost completed mine, and all I can say is that it's a lot bigger job than most people think. Don't want to put you off, Iv'e really enjoyed doing it and can honestly look back and say that I wouldn't have done anything different. (Well, maybe 1 or 2 little things, Ha Ha.)
I was also fortunate that I have my own business and was able to take time of to do it. I couldn't imagine trying to build your own house whilst having a job at the same time. Take forever....
I'd also had a little experience by helping a builder mate do a couple of houses years ago. By paying attention then I was confident in doing my own. Most need a little more than a book.
Best of luck if its still on and I'm sure you'll get plenty of help and advise through the forum as I did....
PS: I used 100x100 Cypress Pine for my stumps rather than Treated..
