Hi Ewan
Thank you very much, and a bit of a master class too.
Regards

I had the same thought Jordan, It would certainly be handy and probably doable (if that's a word) for me as I need a new pawl as well
Apparently the previous owners took the lower limiting stop off it Ewan and engaged quick traverse which promptly picked up over a ton of milling machine and spun it on it's axis.
That would've been interesting to watch

Phil, I am guessing that it also left a brown stain in their trousers.
One of the things missing on this machine is the lower operator adjustable limit switch, pinned one is still there; but not much use when the leadscrew makes impact 6" prior. In this case nearly 2.4 tonne at a guess and the casting was the weakest link. Much weaker after the 2 bronzed repairs.

Yes please
Hello Ewan,
I'd be interested in one too please.
With all this interest, you may have to set up a factory... )

Sorry guys.....the gears are still on my bench. I could make a poor excuse but really I've just been slack. I picked up some satchels yesterday and should be able to get them away this arvo.
Kraehe, if there is more interest I will do another batch, I only did 4 as that was all the steel I had of the right size, short of machining down much bigger bar.
Cheers,
