Wongai, tell me about it! We're the same age. I was previously DBA Manager for a bank, but now I'm really enjoying working for a vendor.
Don't write your skills off. Frankly, there isn't a lot of good quality DR or HA in Tasmania. The work is mainly public sector, but you might do well to send your CV to some local agencies. If you're serious I'll also ask our Branch Manager if he can recommend some likely propects.... as long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation. I would like to live in tassie too, but I have trouble with the length of days in winter here in Brissie, in Tassie, I'd likely go bonkers, ... er... more bonkers
Cheers

Well that's another strange ( I mean SPECIAL) thing about Tas. There is no doubt that Boags Draught goes down more easily than Boags Premium and I am told by the locals (northern locals that is) that draught out sells premium by a mile in Tas. Appears Boags Premium label is just to suck us main landers ( Australians) in.
Have to say, with a palate matured over 55 odd (very odd), years of hop enjoyment Boags draught is a very good drop.
I have found however that I can adapt quite adequately when in the south.Hitch
