cant believe I'm saying this....
For god's sakes throw them.... get some new ones... be like a holiday or a new woman....
..... never know what excitement the new adventure could lead to.....
If your not trudging dirt through the house...you'll have more pleasent words spoken to you....
The new spring in your step will lead to better things to come....
While you've got your wallet out, wipe the dust off it... clear the moths out & spend some money on new tools.....
( Oh better buy the Misses a bunch of flowers... thank her for putting out the bin all these years... & then tell her you spent her allowance on new tools....LOL ..... THEN DUCK......)
Cheers....KEKEMO:Don't think you're playing it safe by walking in the middle of the road.....that's the surest way to get hit by traffic coming from both ways!
I'm passionate about woodwork.......making Sawdust again & loving it!

Pension 'em off? No, no, NO! Perish the thought!
By the time you get their replacements feeling nice 'n comfy, you'll have someone nagging at you to replace them.
My favourite work boots were issued to me in... '88? Maybe '89?
Paper thin soles, (perfect for working on rooves! ) and the toes have worn out from so much kneeling that I've had to wrap 'em in duct tape to stop the steel caps from flying across the room every time I kick something.
I've a couple of far newer pairs that I wear when doing quotes - just for the sake of appearances - but my mouldy oldies are the go when I get down 'n dirty. (You should see my work shirts & jeans... I have a complete ensemble. )

You're very game....
....Almost suicidal … surely you jest… I merely pointed out a clear comparison… you’re dicing with death my risky friend… however, I pray you don’t throw too much caution to the wind… your beloved may throw both you & you’re boots out……LOL….
Surely both deserve it….LOL…
Sorry can’t help if I seem to be laughing too much ….
Just wondering how much effort will be needed when she puts both you & boots in wheelie-bin….
Bless you for making me laugh.....

Andy, after reading this I went looking for a picture of you wearing footwear (of any sort), this is the best I could come up with .
