more progress.....
OK.....I spent a bit of time getting a few more things ordered from suppliers....a couple of acme nuts are on their way. picked up a couple of sprockets and a chain to drive the vertical drive mechanism. spent a bit of time this weekend getting one side of the vertical wind gear connected. The tolerances are pretty minimal so I cant really test the efficiency of the winding unit until I have the other side fixed in place and have the chain connecting the two acme threads installed. I had a go at the main base. Now that moved long at a cracking pace.
...................sorry there isn't any large log being cut up at the present...but hopefully these construction shots will make way for some nice milling images in due course.......

still moving forward
Hi All,
i've had this build on hold for a couple months as I've had an overseas assignment that needed my attention and physical presence. Should be back onto the build shortly. Had to get my hands on a better mig welder. Thats now sorted and likley to get this build going again....apologies..
