An 82yo female has completed a Cycle Qld ride. On last year's ride there were quite a few blokes in their 70s. At least two looked as if they'd have difficulty walking to the showers, but once they were on their bikes I was left behind.
A 92yo cyclist is to lead this year's NSW Bigride out of Holbrook. They don't say if he's doing the whole ride.

    Kind regards
    Brian

There were 2 guys who did the whole ride on unicycles. They have no gears and no brakes. I saw one of these blokes at the top of a big hill. He looked as if he was going to die. He got better and then rode off again. Lunatic.

Hills are easier the less you weigh.
Well, I was gonna say the further the easier, until you said this........

The pricing and route info have been posted on the website.

Click here for the route information

There isn't a free bike this year. They have a cheap bike for $80. If you don't have a bike or your bike is a piece of crap, these will get you through the ride. They sound better this year than last.

The cost is $645 for an adult. Damn cheap for 9 day holiday with all but 1 meal supplied. Details here.

Again, you pack of pansies, get on yer bike and get fit, lose weight and have fun.

    I've got a bike.
You can ride it if you like.
It's got a basket, a bell that rings,
and things to make it look good.
I'd give it to you if I could, but I borrowed it.

    Wrong thread.

Here are a few PDFs that show the ride profiles. They look worse then it really is. The scale on the left is in metres and the scale across is in kilometres.

    Day 1
    Day 2
    Day 3
    Day 4
    Day 6
    Day 7
    Day 8
    Day 9

Day 1, 4 and 7 are the tough days. The rest are pretty easy. Day 5 is a rest day.
