    We use plastic tile spacers between boards to get gaps. These come in 3mm/4mm/5mm, dont fall between the boards and if they do its no big deal only $10 for a 1000.

    We also cut a series of spacer sticks which are used to put the 7th board in. We then just pull the board tight against this with a chisel and fix it off.
